Top five most controversial Jeremy Clarkson moments

With Jeremy Clarkson's departure from Top Gear and lots of publicity around the new version of the show with Chris Evans (who apparently can't drive and look at the camera... oh no!), we're counting down his top five most controversial moments. Keep on reading...

1. Germans and BMW

When talking about a BMW Clarkson was driving, he gave a Nazi salute and that the navigation system would only lead to Poland.

2. BBC Governing Body

Clarkson appeared to be drinking alcohol whilst driving a pickup truck, which obviously didn't please the BBC. He was censored for his actions.

3. Lorry Drivers

When speaking in a segment about lorry drivers, Clarkson said this: “Change gear, change gear, change gear, check mirror, murder a prostitute, change gear, change gear, murder. That’s a lot of effort in a day.”

4. Mexico

BBC had to formally apologise to Mexico after the Top Gear trio made comments about Mexicans being "lazy" and "feckless", amongst other remarks. Clarkson continued this comments by stating that they would still be allowed in the country because "at the Mexican embassy, the ambassador is going to be sitting there with a remote control like this [snores]. They won’t complain, it’s fine." Ouch.

5. PM Gordon Brown

Clarkson infamously referred to Gordon Brown as a "a one-eyed Scottish idiot." Yeah, that's not exactly what you should be calling your Prime Minister.
