It has been reported that the members of Parliament have
managed to rack up a whopping bill of £4.3 million in motoring expenses in the last
three years.
It will now be on the taxpayer to pay for the MPs bill for
motoring expenses, which include parking, toll fees, the London Congestion
Charge and even the use of their own vehicles.
Although claims have fallen year on year in 2014-2015, the
claims are still much higher than it was in 2012-2013.
Here are the top 5 MP motoring expense claimants:
- George Galloway (Respect/Bradford West) £11,767
- Lauren Robertson (Conservative/Tewkesbury) £11,671
- David Morris (Conservative/Morecambe & Lunesdale) £11,181
- Khalid Mahmood (Labour/Birmingham Perry Barr) £10,293
- Stephen O’Brien (Conservative/Eddisbury) £9,916
