The Bentley S3 Continental was
owned by Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards, who bought the car in 1965. It
was sold for a whopping £763,100 at auction.

Named the ‘Blue Lena’ in honour of
Richards favourite singer Lena Horne, the classic car features a 6.2 V8 engine
and includes strange modifications such as a secret compartment for hiding illegal
substances.
The car also includes darkened rear
windows and a Philips record player, whilst loudspeakers behind the front
grille were used by Richards’s then-partner Anita Pallenberg so she could
impersonate policewomen and prank other motorists whilst driving.
During the time Richards owned the
S3, the car had been involved in numerous serious accidents. In 1976, Richards
left the road and ended up in a field by ploughing through a hedge and fence.
Police found illegal substances and Richards was arrested.
Richards sold the car in 1978 and recently went through a full restoration including a rebuilt engine, new wing sections
and door panels and the mechanicals were overhauled.
