But forget all that because the
real stars of the movie... are the cars! Keep in mind that majority of the
stunts were done physically in the real world, using actual cars and stunt
people. So none of that CGI trickery stuff. Keep reading for an insight into
the best cars of Mad Max: Fury Road.
Firstly, Nux’s (Nicholas Hoult)
car. The car is every boy’s hot-rod dream – a 1932 Chevy coupé with plenty of
weapons.

Secondly, Peacemaker. Designed by a “couple of brothers who built tanks for the military”, the diesel engine was torn out for being too slow and replaced with a water-cooled V8. With the addition of sharp teeth, lamps and aeroplane trimmings, this car is a modern day masterpiece.

Thirdly, the Interceptor. The classic 1974 Ford XB Falcon, beaten up, double blown and left to rot in the gutter. It wouldn’t be a Mad Max film without this classic.

Next, the Gigahorse. Take the 1959 Cadillac Coupe DeVille, mount it on a truck chassis, power it with a turbocharged V8 engine and what do you get? The beast that is Gigahorse, the most daring and captivating vehicle in the film.

Then it’s the FDK. With the body of a Volkswagen Beetle powered with a V8 engine, in the film the car acts as part of a team of guards that throws off flames. Cool, right?

Finally, the War Rig. The name gives it away - a beastly six wheel drive Tatra powered by two supercharged V8 engines which puts all the other cars to shame. It includes a tanker to shuttle precious fluids makes it even more ominous – that, and the skulls for decoration.
